So it's 00:00, I counted 7,6,5,4,3,2,1 and watched the calendar switch to 08-07-07. The supposedly luckiest day of my life is over, and there was nothing lucky about it. it was a less than simple day, very close to slow and boring.
7 has been my favorite number for some time, and I always thought it brings me luck. Today somehow I realized I don't need good luck on the seventh day of the seventh month, I've had so many blessings on all kinds of not so lucky days, so I guess I'll let it go this time.

Today is a very important day, the news are chewing over and over the 'New Seven Wonders Contest Results' -oh mabrook lal Petra, 3o2bal il Manara-, so they say that people from all over the world sent crazy numbers of sms messages to vote for the oh so wondery thing in their country, nice...
American idol? superstar? star academy? yup, again unbelievable numbers of sms msgs flying in the universe of telecommunication, isn't it wonderful when people can communicate their opinions.

hmm, let's say some person with a fair mind and a lot of money created a huge international sms 'Let's tell the world what we think' campaign, and the question was : 'Do you think the Israeli occupation on Palestine must end today'.
How many people around the world would bother to send a 10 cent, 32 agora sms to say YES, The occupation on Palestine MUST end today??!! Maybe I'm too frustrated with humanity these days but I really don't think we'll see a number worth mentioning on the news, or even on Maan news website.
WHY? are we less important? is a 1000 year rock more important than millions that are suffering everyday? are singers that have no talent or brains more important??
I was watching Melody hits music station when I went home, and I couldn't avoid being annoyed by the sms messages people were sending to each other all day long on these channels, I mean seriously why are the priorities of youth so messed up?!!!

We're not behind because of the dictator governments we're behind cause we spend too much time blaming and little time thinking and working.
our governments are so bad because we as people are weak, we're emotional and can't really argue strongly enough to say this is what we want, and that's not you. we're too stubborn to admit that someone other than us is right and if we do, we follow blindly instead of being involved in the process.

I want change, I want the situation in my country to change, I want the way people act there to change, not everything, just a tiny bit of change that is enough for us to start building, I need to be part of the building of this country, I want it to start happening in my lifetime.
